In Young Goodman Brown the story takes place in a village called Salem. This place is known as the place where the witch trials took place. I think that young good man brown was dreaming and it was all in his head maybe a witch put a spell on him or something.  Young good man brown is a good christian who takes pride in his family history and reputation. He is recently married to a women named faith. However, being the curious man that Goodman Brown is it leads him to an unknown evil in the forest.
